Description

The Northline EcoSpace HX XL (420L) Roof Box is an excellent compromise between an affordable price, high utility, and exceptionally high-quality materials. The cost reduction is only in terms of user comfort—compared to the EVOspace model, it features single-sided opening. However, it still includes a central 3-point locking system with a high-quality stainless steel lock insert (Eurolock) and an iron sliding shaft, ensuring long-term, trouble-free operation of the locking mechanism.

Thanks to its exceptionally strong 5mm ABS base, this box is the only one in its category with a 75kg load capacity.

Compared to the EcoSpace Anthracite version, the HX version is made from new ABS panels with a special hexagon surface finish, giving it an elegant look while further enhancing its sporty and aerodynamic lines.

The second feature is a simpler yet practical and reliable mounting system. This box uses "U" bolts with a 90mm spacing (the clear space between the bolts is 83mm; for Yakima 85mm roof racks, the Northline "T" set must be ordered). This setup extends the installation time by only 1-2 minutes, which is negligible for users who use the box only a few times a year.

Thanks to its seamless front design, the box remains quiet and stable even at high speeds. An interesting feature is the front diffuser, which is designed to redirect as much air as possible over the box, thereby reducing noise generated between the bottom of the box and the car roof.

The facelifted version additionally features a designated recess for logo placement on the lid and redesigned rear corners, which have been adjusted from a negative to a positive shape. This enhancement makes the rear section even stronger and more durable.
