The aerodynamic Northline FlyWing Rail-In S roof racks for integrated roof rails are designed with an airfoil-shaped load profile, which significantly reduces the drag coefficient. This design ensures minimal noise even at high speeds and helps maintain low fuel consumption.
The main advantage of the FlyWing racks is the precisely engineered mounting foot, which, thanks to a double clamping mechanism, ensures exceptionally accurate and secure attachment. Unlike standard racks, where clamping occurs with a single clamp and a passive contact surface, the FlyWing foot features a double leverage system between the rear contact surface and the front steel jaw.
This system allows the clamping mechanism to precisely adapt to the slope of the integrated roof rail, ensuring a safe and stable attachment. Additionally, the outer clamp is hardened for maximum strength and long-lasting durability.
Another advantage is that the mechanism and load-bearing components are made of steel.
Easy access for installing the 'T' screws is ensured by the flip-up mechanism on the side covers of the racks.
Thanks to the geometry of the clamping jaw, the racks are also suitable for some open roof rails with a so-called sharp outer edge (VW, Škoda, Audi, Seat).
A damping strip with a numerical scale in the foot groove allows for precise distribution of the rack's overhang.
Covering the lower groove eliminates the so-called whistle effect.
